Radio Operator - Offshore

Main Responsibilities:

• Operate VHF, MF/HF and satellite radio systems for continuous communication with helicopters, ships, onshore base and rescue teams.

• Monitor emergency channels and ensure immediate communication in critical situations.

• Co-ordinate helicopter landings and take-offs, including weather updates and flight reports.

• Keeping accurate records of all relevant communications and events (logbooks).

• Supporting personnel on board (POB) control procedures.

• Assist in monitoring security systems, alarms and access control.

• Communicating weather and sea conditions, based on data from meteorological stations installed on the unit.

• Ensuring that communication equipment is always operational, reporting faults and requesting maintenance when necessary.

• Strictly comply with safety protocols, including the emergency response plan (ERP).

Experience: Minimum 5 years offshore experience
Certifications: BOSIET, GMDSS, and relevant education certificates.
Languages: Portuguese and English (Intermediate level)
